Hi,
I was wondering if you had any info. on a Patrick Tarpey born in Galway abt. 1857. He married Bridget Martin and lived in Shenadoah Penn. in 1890. he died in 1892 in a coal mining accident. His wife and children moved to Waltham Mass. Any info would be helpful. I do not have any info. about his parents or siblings.

I stumbled on your posting by a fluke. My grandfather, Edward Tarpey, was born in Ballyhaunis, Mayo; at this writing, I do not know the year of his birth. As he named his first born son, my father, Thomas Austin Tarpey, it seems likely there is some connection. What was your g. grandfather's middle name? I will search for additional information and pass it on to you if I learn anything of interest.
